Kodo Shakuhachi sells three types of shakuhachi.
■Kodo Shakuhachi - Zenkon
Jinashi shakuhachi with the roots of the bamboo intact.
■Kodo Shakuhachi - Jinashi
Shakuhachi inherited from the Edo period.
■Extra-long tube Kodo shakuhachi - Kudo
Jinashi shakuhachi over 1.5m long.
Shakuhachi are sold on a made-to-order basis.

■ 虚道尺八 ー 善根 ー
禅の哲学から、なるべく自然のままの形を生かしたい。そう思い、虚道は独自の造形を生み出しました。丁寧に根を傷つけないよう竹を取り、加工した尺八です。制作後、禅寺にて祈祷して頂き納品します。
■Kodo Shakuhachi - Zenkon
From the philosophy of Zen, I wanted to make use of natural forms as much as possible. With this in mind, Kyodo created a unique form. This shakuhachi is made by carefully removing and processing the bamboo without damaging the roots. After production, the shakuhachi is prayed for at a Zen temple and delivered to the customer.

江戸時代から伝わる虚無僧の法器「尺八」。竹の素材を生かし、無駄な加工は一切施さず、自分と向き合える尺八作りを目指します。
■Kodo Shakuhachi - Jinashi
The shakuhachi, a sacred bamboo flute, has been used since the Edo period (1603-1868) by kumuso monks. We aim to make shakuhachi that you can face to yourself by making the best use of bamboo materials and not applying any unnecessary processing.
